Navionics New XL9 Charts Delivered In Europe

Navionics commences delivery of their new, huge and extra-detailed charts for Europe

Announced in February, the first of the new Navionics Gold XL9-sized charts are now being issued in Europe. XL9 offers up to triple the coverage of the sizeable XL3 charts which they replace. XL3 charts were greatly reduced for the 2007 season and this very competitive pricing structure remains unchanged for the new XL9 charts and offers great savings to many users.

First to be released to retailers are the 26XG covering all of France, Spain and Portugal, 24XG covering the Baltic and including the Swedish and entire coast of Finland, 22XG and 29XG providing total coverage of Norway.

Over the next few days all the remaining XL9 charts of Europe will be released and be available to buy from retailers throughout the continent.

Vectorized XL9 charts have been developed using Navionics exclusive, fully Seamless Technology providing clearly legible charts without clutter, holes or discontinuities, at every zoom level.

From cruising yachtsmen to sports fisherman, boaters worldwide have come to appreciate the great detail of Navionics XL3 charts.  This wealth of information and detail (at up to 16 zoom levels) continues with the new XL9 charts.

XL9 cartography is available on pre-programmed generic SD (Secure Digital) or CF (Compact Flash) cartridges which are readily available with expandable memory for future developments.

Navionics charts are compatible with leading chartplotters such as Eagle, Furuno, Geonav, Humminbird, Lowrance, Northstar, Raymarine, and many PC based navigation systems.
