Navionics Platinum Wins Again!

Cartography Leader’s Premier Charts Receive Industry Award

Wareham, Mass. – Navionics, the leader in electronic cartography, announced today that Platinum, its multi-dimensional electronic cartography, has won the 2007 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Industry Award in the Marine Specialty category. Awarded at the annual NMEA Convention & Expo held last week at the Amelia Island Plantation and Resort in Jacksonville, Florida, the highly prized honor recognized Platinum charts for excellence in innovation, design, performance and reliability in marine navigation. Award winners are selected by a secret ballot vote of NMEA members, made up of distributors, dealers, sales representatives, and other industry professionals.

“We are very proud to have Platinum honored and to receive this prestigious NMEA award,” said Bob Moshiri, vice president of sales and marketing, Navionics. “To have Platinum recognized again by our peers in the marine industry is a testament to Navionics’ drive for continuous innovation.”

Platinum is the first multi-dimensional charting and navigation product available for chartplotters. It combines navigation chart detail with satellite and high-aerial photo overlays, 3-Dimensional bathymetric views, panoramic photos of ports and marinas, port services, U.S. coastal pilot guides, coastal road networks  with key points of interest such as Hotels, Dining, Banks, Hospitals, and more. Platinum is a key component of Navionics’ Good  Better Best cartography line up (Gold+, Platinum, Plaitnum+; Platinum+ recently announced at the 2007 NMEA Convention & Expo).

Platinum Charts are available in Navionics’ XL3-size coverage on 2GB CF and SD media cards compatible with today’s leading chartplotter manufacturers such as Humminbird, Lowrance, Northstar and Raymarine.

Platinum Charts and other Navionics products are available at marine, boating and sporting goods stores throughout the United States and Canada. For more information about Platinum, Navionics and its entire product line, contact 800-848-5896 (toll-free) or visit www.navionics.com.
