Navionics Pro Spotlight: Tommy Skarlis, Professional Walleye Angler

Tommy Skarlis is a professional walleye angler who really just loves fishing- whether it’s catching walleyes, flippin’ bass, or hooking crappies through the ice. The Iowa native honed his skills on the Mississippi River and many other bodies of water throughout the Midwest.  He’s been fishing in tournament series like the MWC, PWT, FLW Walleye tour and the AIM Pro Walleye Tour for twenty years. His career highlights are impressive. Just to name a few: he has qualified for over forty championships, holds the world record for largest professional walleye tournament total weight and is the 2013 Crappie Masters Champion. He was even named one of the top ten anglers on the planet by Outdoor Life in 2011. In a field where most experts specialize in one area, Tommy’s enthusiasm to share his multi-species knowledge with others is extremely valuable. When not on the water, he enjoys camping, snowmobiling, cooking and grilling.  He’s also a promotional hunter who pursues most species of North American upland game, waterfowl and big game, and spends time teaching others to enjoy the sport as well.
