Navionics Pro Spotlight: Rob Jackson, Multi-Species Angler and Guide

When he was young, Rob Jackson learned to fish from his father, and spent his childhood in Eastern Ontario catching muskie in the Jock River.  He later became a multi-species angler, fishing everything from panfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, muskie, walleye, carp, gar, and salmon to various types of trout. He even the Ontario record for Longnose Gar--a 15.79lbs specimen caught in 2009, and has competed in Renegade Bass, Canada's most well-respected and competitive bass fishing circuit. Between sharing his angling exploits and on-the-water learning through RJnBirdees Outdoor Adventures –a website he runs with wife, Kim, to house all their fishing and hunting reports—and being a founding member of several fishing websites and message boards, he’s one of the area’s top online personalities. In 2011, the website expanded to include a guide service, allowing the husband and wife duo to share their adventures with others. When not on the water, Jackson frequently shares his hard-water expertise at local seminars and on-ice demonstrations. He was a key contributor to the book Ice Fishing: The Ultimate Guide by Tim Allard which was published in 2012. He and his wife host two events a year: an Ice Fishing Derby in support of the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation and BIG BASS Megabucks.
