How to record Track GPX logs (only inland waters)

You can record freely as you go about your day! For best sonar log recording, we suggest you keep your speed under 6 knots, although maximum logging speed may vary depending on which device you are using; perform a grid pattern where the distance between tracks is no more than 50 meters /150 feet; and save about every 30 minutes to reduce any risk of loss.

Step 1

Make sure your MSD/SD card is inserted into your GPS chartplotter and press HOME.

Step 2

Tap Nav Data.

Step 3

Tap Tracks from Options,
then tap New Track.

Step 4

Tap Save.

Step 5

Tap Track Point Interval.

Step 6

Tap Time,
then tap Back.

Step 7

Tap Time.

Step 8

Tap 1 second,
then tap Back.

Step 9

Now tap X and start boating (at this point you are recording the trail).

Step 10

At the end of the trip, press HOME,
then press Nav Data.

Step 11

Tap Tracks from Options,
then tap New Track.

Step 12

Tap Save.

Step 13

Tap Tracks from Lists,
then tap & hold the saved track.

Step 14

Tap the track name.

Step 15

Assign a name like TrackGPX and tap Save,
then tap X to close Track Info.

Step 16

Tap & hold the saved track.

Step 17

Tap Export All Tracks.

Step 18

Plug the MSD/SD card out of your GPS chartplotter and plug it in your computer.
