Get More from Your GPS Plotter with the Navionics Boating App

It is no secret that Navionics® chart data provides unparalleled coverage and ease of use for boaters, anglers and sailing enthusiasts who simply want to enjoy their time on the water to the fullest. But did you know there is a tool that can make your experience even better? Check out the Navionics Boating app.

The Navionics Boating app is a convenient way to check your charts, create routes and put down markers — all from your Android™ or Apple® smartphone or tablet. With an active subscription, you can bring your detailed marine and lake charts with you wherever you go, plus take advantage of features such as satellite overlays with SonarChart™ Shading, Dock-to-dock Autorouting1 and much more.

One of the best things about the app is that it lets you plan your activities ahead of time, without having to be near your boat. So when you do get to the water, all you have to do is take out your device and sync it with your compatible GPS Plotter. Then your route to the marina, your marked fishing spots and anything else you planned is ready to go. And so are you.

With the Navionics Boating app, you also can activate and update any Navionics GPS Plotter cards you own — without having to remove the card from the GPS Plotter. This applies only if both the app and the card have an active subscription and the GPS Plotter is compatible with the Plotter Sync feature. If it’s not, you can use the GPX feature to export routes, tracks and markers so you always have the most up-to-date information in front of you.

If you are ready to spend more time enjoying the water and less time planning or fiddling with your GPS Plotter, it is time to download the Navionics Boating app. And when you do, take advantage of a free trial.
