Our free Navionics Ski app opens up a world of possibilities to those who love to get out on the slopes; there are more than 2,000 resort maps that include trails, lifts, rental shops, ski schools and more. With Navionics Ski, you get access to 37,000 km (23,000 miles) of trails in US, Canada, Europe, South America, Austrail and Asia right at your fingertips.
We caught up with Navionics Ski Specialist Alex Mansfield to get an insider’s look into what he enjoys most about the Navionics Ski app. An avid skier and snowboarder, Mansfield typically hits the slopes 60-80 times per year and he rarely goes without Navionics Ski.
“My favorite is the tracking feature, specifically the recording of days, runs and vertical. I have always kept a daily journal of my skiing and the app makes it much easier to keep the journal and ensures accuracy,” Mansfield explains.
In addition to tracking your days, runs and vertical, Navionics Ski users can also check max and average speeds, time, distance, and elevation after their day on the mountain. You can get run and lift details that include names and stats. And you can also playback your tracks to relive your day on the snow!
Navionics Ski is extremely interactive. Mansfield tells us he often shares his routes on social media and sometimes adds ski shops using the Community Edits feature which is available to all users. Our interactive resort maps identify trails and lifts and allow you to locate ticket offices, lodges, rental shops and more! Community Edits also allow skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to edit and add points of interest on the maps, rate and review areas.
