Norwegian Mapping Authority, Hydrographic Service, approves Navionics charts updated in accordance with their standards

The Norwegian Mapping Authority, Hydrographic Service (NMA-HS) recently approved Navionics as compliant to their standards for processing chart updates. The NMA-HS requires that official updates they issue are delivered to end users with at least once every two weeks. Navionics meets this condition, and we are particularly proud of this recognition because, like the NMA-HS, we value the importance of bringing timely chart updates to boaters for safer, informed navigation and for more enjoyment on the water. Enabling customers to keep their charts up to date through daily updates is a primary focus of our company in every part of the world.

Particularly for Norwegian sea areas, the data that NMA-HS publishes daily in S57 format are integrated into our cartography within the following two weeks. This ensures our customers can benefit from the very latest NMA-HS content changes anytime, anywhere through the year. In addition, we improve our cartography all the time with contributions from our community.

How can a customer check the presence of relevant updates?

Boaters can compare their current charts to our latest ones with our Chart Viewer and check if their areas of interest are up to date on the map.

How to get updated charts?

Daily updates are included for one year with Navionics+ and Platinum+ cards for GPS plotters as well as on Navionics Boating apps. With updated charts, our customers may also use Navionics advanced features, which provide additional, valuable functionality for enhancing any activity on the water. The one-year subscription to daily updates and advanced features can be renewed after expiration with up to 50% off.
