Navionics has just launched brand new Swedish charts in time for the boating season. Based on Sjofartsverket (Swedish Maritime Administration) and Hydrographica, a new release of cartographic data in Sweden is now available. Combining the latest S57 Dataset from Sjöfartsverket and the newly updated Hydrographica data, Navionics uses the best sources available. In addition, Navionics now delivers a highly improved presentation mode to better show details during different zoom levels.
New GPS plotter charts, including Navionics+, Platinum+, and Gold, can easily be updated, free for 12 months, if you have an active Freshest Data subscription. If your subscription has expired, please contact your dealer to purchase Navionics Updates or to update your Platinum+ card. Gold and Platinum+ can also be updated online. Take advantage also to extend your coverage to the 45XG.
To update your Mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, purchase the Navionics+ In-App upgrade within the app menu and enjoy 12 months of updates and SonarChart™. If you do not have an app yet, download Navionics Boating for free and shop for your preferred area “Baltic Sea” or “Skagerrak & Kattegat” (area recently increased) chart coverage from a global catalogue within the app.
Whether you are in Marstrand in Västra Götaland area or in Sandhamn in Stockholm Archipelago, you will get the latest details just published. If you prefer navigating through Swedish inland waters from Lake Vänern in the Götaland area through the channel to Göteborg or to the Göta channel to Stockholm or to the lake Vättern, you will always find the most up-to-date data.
"Swedish archipelagos are among the worlds most complicated waters, from a navigational point of view. Hydrographica performs detailed and internationally price awarded surveys to increase chart reliability. Since 2006 Navionics cartography includes Hydrographica data, with continuous updatings." Lars Granath, MD Hydrographica
