Following numerous requests from customers, Navionics has created a new electronic chart of the Shannon-Erne Waterway which, for the first time, gives users all the benefits of detailed electronic cartography for this major waterway. Fully geo-referenced, the chart includes detailed bathymetry, numerous spot soundings, navigational marks and features.
From Limerickin the south to Beleek in the north and covering some 363 KM, the Shannon-Erne SYSTEM offers a unique combination of river, lake, and still-water canal, linking Ireland’s two great waterways, the Shannonand the Erne. The link was restored and re-opened in 1994 and, the resulting navigation system has become very popular with Ireland’s boaters as well as attracting visitors from all over Europe.
Through its own dedicated survey teams, Navionics have become the largest producer of inland lake electronic charts in the U.S. “We decided to use these same survey teams to create the Shannonchart, the first time this method has been used in Europe. The chart is included within product code “28G” which covers all the UKand Irelandand has benefited from recent significant price reductions, now just £ 179.99 inc vat (rrp).
