Bob Moshiri, vice president of sales & marketing for Navionics said, “We’re so very pleased, all of us at Navionics, for Platinum to have been recognized by our peers in the worlds boating community. Years of research and development have resulted in making Platinum a reality, providing boaters with easy access to a multitude of information sources, making boating more relaxing and more enjoyable.”

Navionics Platinum is the first multi-dimensional electronic cartography for marine chartplotters. In recent years, some products have been offered for PCs and laptops which include charting and other ancillary information. The limitations of the PC on a boat are well known. Now, Navionics Platinum offers all the features that boaters need - from charts, to cruising guides, to photographic images and more - all integrated and geo-referenced on a single plug & play cartridge that could not be simpler to use with a GPS plotter.

Key features of Navionics Platinum are 3D bathymetric presentation, satellite photography, panoramic port photos, port services and points of interest information, coastal piloting text guide, wrecks database, and dynamic tides & currents. Furthermore, Platinum offers the same huge coverage area and content of Navionics Gold XL3 cartridges. Navionics Platinum is available for use with leading manufacturers' plotters, and its coverage areas include Europe, US/Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Loïc Moreau, Navionics France Area Manager, will receive the Award on behalf of Navionics at the ceremony which will take place during the Paris Boat Show on December 5th.
