Judy Wong grew up in Huston, Texas fishing with her father, but the love of catching Bass started with her marriage and soon she began fishing competitively in the Bassn’Gal Tour. She continued on to also compete in the Women's Bass Fishing Association circuit, the Women's Bassmaster Tour, the BASS Opens, the FLW and Stren Series events. A champion several times over, she won the Women's Bass Fishing Association's Classic World Championship two years in a row. Wong had the honor of being invited to the Oval Office in 2008 in recognition of her accomplishments after winning the 2007 Women’s Bassmaster Tour Championship and in 2010 she was inducted into The Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame. She has made appearances on TV shows like "Texas Angler", "Channel 13 Outdoors" and the "Fishing with Roland Martin" Show, and been a guest on radio shows such as "610 Sports Radio Houston and "Field and Stream Radio". Wong was also on the cover of magazines like The Inside Line and Texas Fish & Game and featured in Bassmaster and Bass Times. Although no longer fishing competitively or guiding, Wong is still active in the fishing community through her artwork and seminars she hosts.
