Navionics will be attending Sydney Boat Show (July 31st - Aug 4th) and will introduce new Nautical Charts in South Wales and new SonarChart™ throughout the region. Navionics is also introducing new options for wireless connectivity that make it easier for users to improve and access updated charts.

Boaters will appreciate the level of detail offered in the new Nautical Charts, the foundation of Navionics products, while approaching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour, or while navigating in Newcastle nestled on the banks of the Hunter River. Whether entering Byron Bay for its pristine blue beaches or the golden beaches of Coffs Harbour, or deep sea fishing, the tremendous detail of Navionics charts provide a sense of awareness of the area as if returning to a familiar port. The same is true when heading for Port Macquarie, a perfect choice for water lovers, with the Hastings River flowing alongside the city into the Pacific Ocean, with plenty of patrolled beaches, fishing and every type of water sport imaginable. In addition, Navionics has published brand new charts in Japan or South Korea.

Australian fishermen have come to rely on SonarChart™, the HD bathymetry map, on as an important reference of the most up-to-date contour detail. Lovers of diving and fishing will also enjoy new SonarChart™, now with contour detail improved from 2mt to 0,5mt! SonarChart™ can now be enhanced with sonar log data formats from leading echosounder and GPS chartplotter manufacturers for Lowrance (GPX), Raymarine (SDF, NMEA, GPX), Simrad (GPX) and B&G (GPX) in addition to Humminbird (DAT and GPX on all models, (GPX only on ION and Onix) and Garmin (ADM), with innovative wireless connectivity for supported devices. This development allows individuals with sonar-enabled electronics to share sonar logs using their computer to upload the data to Navionics. Learn how easy it is.

Raymarine multifunction displays equipped with Wi-Fi can also participate directly using the Plotter Sync feature embedded in Navionics mobile apps for iPhone and iPad. A free update to Navionics Boating mobile apps, available also in a free introductory version named simply Navionics Boating, introduces the ability to update plotter charts and upload sonar logs wirelessly while onboard. New Navionics Plotter Sync essentially establishes a connection via the Navionics app that enables individuals to take advantage of their Freshest Data subscription as well as upload sonar logs while on their boat, without the need of a computer. From the time data is submitted, it takes roughly one week for SonarChart™ to be updated reflecting quality improvements for local sea, lake and river bottoms. Updated charts are available for compatible chartplotters with Navionics+ and Platinum+, for mobile devices via Navionics+ for mobile and for free on the Navionics WebApp

Furthermore, Navionics and Vexilar are cooperating to integrate Navionics Boating on iPhone and iPad with the Vexilar SonarPhone. Ideal for kayakers or owners of small- to mid-size boats who don’t have a chartplotter, the new feature will display sonar and Navionics charts, both full screen and split screen, within the same app. The sonar data is transmitted to the app via wireless connection with a SonarPhone T-BOX Wi-Fi transmitter (device to be purchased separately).
Navionics will align all its Android apps features with those developed for Apple and will continue on its innovative course presenting new products for the market.
