Basic Instructions for Sonar Log Recording

For best sonar log recording, we suggest you keep your speed under 6 knots, although maximum logging speed may vary depending on which device you are using; perform a grid pattern where the distance between tracks is no more than 50 meters /150 feet; and save about every 30 minutes to reduce any risk of loss.

Press HOME

Step 2

Scroll to Information and press SELECT

Step 3

Scroll to User Data an press SELECT

Step 4

Scroll to Tracks and press SELECT

Step 5

Scroll to Active Track Options and press SELECT

Step 6

Scroll to Record Mode and press SELECT

Step 7

Scroll to Fill and press SELECT

Step 8

Scroll to Record Interval and press SELECT

Step 9

Scroll to Time and press SELECT

Step 10

Scroll to Change and press SELECT

Step 11

Set Time Interval to 1 second and press SELECT

Step 12

Now press HOME to go to the main menu and start boating (at this point you are recording the trail)

How to save the Recording to a MSD/SD card

At the end of the trip, make sure the MSD/SD card is inserted into your GPS chart plotter, then scroll to Information and press SELECT

Scroll to User Data and press SELECT

Scroll to Data Transfer and press SELECT

Step 16

Scroll to Save to Card and press SELECT

Step 17

Scroll to Add New File and press SELECT

Step 18

Assign a name using the arrows,
then press SELECT

Step 19

The file is now created.
To go to the main page press HOME
