Team Navionics and the other top 10 finishers are now qualified for the FLW Striper Tour Championship in Virginia Beach this December, to be televised by FSN.

Navionics’ own Shaun Ruge, along with Pro Staff member Capt. Shane Hoctor, Jamie Bess and Charlie Bess, drew the first flight at the Captains meeting Friday night confirming a 6:30am launch time. “By 10am we had the second slot fish in the boat which took a lot of pressure off. We knew 30lbs would get us in the running but needed to better that weight to place” - Capt. Shane Hoctor
Team Navionics used the Gold+ "Fish'N Chip" to find a drop off from 20 to 30 feet of water shown on a RayMarine C-80. “We hit that wall and the finder lit up. We dropped waypoints at the first caught fish and beat those numbers all day which paid off for us.” – Crew member Jamie Bess. “Slack tide dropped the bite off but patience paid off as the tide changed and fish started hitting again. We picked up more fish allowing us to high grade and increase the overall weight.” – Crew Member Charlie Bess.
Team Navionics ran a 21ft Cape Horn, 225 Suzuki 4 Stroke engine, RayMarine C-80, 250 DSM, 2K Radar, owned by Shane Hoctor.
Special thanks to Strike King, without a fantastic bait, Team Navionics’ success would not have been possible; and Tormentor Lures for their continued support; and special thanks to Bill Carson of FLW outdoors for a well organized, professional event and a memorable experience. See you in Virginia Beach!
