Simrad

What’s great about a Simrad plotter is that it records your logs by default. As long as you have left it recording, all you need to do is export the logs to a card and upload them to Navionics to get greatly enhanced SonarChart™ of your favorite spots!
SonarChart™ Live! A new fun and effortless way to upload sonar logs. Just connect our app to your sounder and see!
Important notice
  • Your Simrad has automatically recorded all your sonar logs since day one. And it’s still recording any trip if you see the line after your cursor when navigating.
  • Simrad has changed their software which now excludes depth data when exporting sonar logs in the GPX format. If you purchase a new Simrad plotter, you can no longer use GPX to upload sonar logs. If you update the software of an older plotter, the same result can happen. Check this page, which is continuously updated. Please contact Simrad customer service for any questions. Now there is a new fun and effortless way to upload sonar logs! All you need is the Navionics Boating app connected wirelessly to a sounder to enjoy SonarChart™ Live and at the same time upload sonar logs.
  • Upload your logs to Navionics, using the tutorial below "How to Export and Upload".
  • In case you need more information about recording, data quality improvement or how to upload a select log, see "How to Record, more details".
