Minnesota’s White Bear Lake Map Improved

Minnesota’s White Bear Lake Map Improved

At Navionics, we continuously enhance our products and technology to provide you with complete details and relevant content for the best possible experience.

As part of our ongoing product enhancement, we recently improved the chart detail on White Bear Lake in Minnesota. These improvements come at a time when the lake has rebounded from several years of low water levels. To reach the waterline during this time, many homeowners had to extend their docks further from shore. Now, by integrating new data from multibeam sonar surveys, we’re able to provide updated contour detail all the way to the current shoreline, and we’ve added hundreds of docks to the map.

Higher water and more detailed charts give boaters easier lake access, with fewer rocks near the surface and less chance of getting snagged on vegetation in shallow areas. This beautiful, expansive lake holds plenty of fish to catch, including crappie, walleye, largemouth bass, northern pike and muskie all year long, with ice fishing being a popular winter activity. Don’t have a boat? Check out rental options along the lake and cruise with friends on a pontoon or slow it down even more with a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddle board.

White Bear Lake is just minutes away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and features a number of shoreline parks, such as Matoska Park and White Bear Lake County Park which both feature boat launch facilities.
