At Navionics, we continuously enhance our products and technology to provide our customers with the best possible experience, the most complete details, and relevant content. As part of our ongoing product enhancement, we recently added the Paraguay river to our charts.
This addition reflects the will to constantly increase the amount of mapped inland waters in South America and is part of a wider project including Rio Paraná, Lake Paranoá and Rio Tietê already released earlier this year.
With its 2,621 kilometers, the Paraguay is a major river in South America and flows across several countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina.
Now, our charts include the stretch going from Cáceres to Asunción for our customers to benefit. Shoreline and coastline, bathymetry contours, navigational aids and several bodies of water are all available.
Whether you are a boater or a fisherman, you will definitely appreciate this cartography addition. The Paraguay river is one of the few great rivers of the South America continent that is navigable for a considerable length (second only to the Amazon river), not having been dammed for hydroelectric power generation.
About 350 fish species inhabit the river, including dorado, catfish and pacu (piranha) - let Navionics charts help you explore all the best spots for the most exciting fishing action!
