Coming Soon: A Combined Layer

Satellite Overlay, updated and optimized for the coming boating season, offers a top-down view of inland and coastal areas.

SonarChart Shading, created from the high-definition contour data within SonarChart, presents a detailed rendering of the seafloor and lake bottoms in varying shades of blue. As coverage areas are released, customers who own a Platinum+ chart with an active subscription will be able to download the combined satellite overlay and SonarChart™ Shading layer for their region via the Chart Installer. What You Can Do

Satellite Overlay

Adjust the transparency so that charts are fully or partially visible through the overlay. This is helpful in shallow waters or to spot marshesshoals and sandbars.

Find hidden features such as backwater channels and feeder creeks that might hold fish.

SonarChart Shading

Clearly see channels, drop-offs and other structures over a wide area for a better understanding of the seafloor and lake bottom.

Search the map for visual cues to identify fish-holding structure on inland lakes and coastal fisheries.
