As part of our ongoing product enhancement, we have just added 686 new lakes. With the ones already available, our customers can take advantage of 2,164 lakes in Sweden. The bodies of water released are concentrated in the areas between Örebro, Sodermanland, Västmanland, Uppsaland and Stockholm.

Some of them are the largest in Sweden: Vänern lake, that covers an area of 5,655 km², is the biggest Swedish lake and the third largest in Europe. It is so big that it has its own weather system and offers also fantastic angling opportunities. We have covered also others important lakes: Vättern, that is the second largest one in Sweden and the sixth in Europe, Storsjön, Magelungen and many more. Among all of these new lakes, you can definitely find great fishing and ice fishing opportunities for species like pike, perch, salmon, zander and many more.

The new lakes are now released in Nautical Chart, the essential cartographic reference. You may also find extraordinary bottom contour detail on some of them within SonarChart™  - our 0,5 m HD bathymetry map! Anywhere more detail is needed, record sonar logs and send to Navionics. We will integrate them with existing data to ensure SonarChart™ becomes more and more precise. The enhanced SonarChart™, resulting from all the uploaded sonar logs, is available for the whole community on plotter, mobile and on the web!

How to get these updates and enjoy Navionics advanced features

• On plotter: choose Navionics+ or Platinum+. If you already have an active subscription, plug your card it into a PC (learn more). If you have our Boating app, you can update your plotter card wirelessly, with Plotter Sync.

• On mobile: download any of the paid apps or the free version that provides a 2-week free trial! If you already have an active subscription, open the app and tap Menu > Update All.
